Solar Panels and Battery Storage

The Three Kings Cullen Association was awarded funding to install solar panels and a storage battery system to the Cullen Community and Residential Centre.

This provided two main benefits:

• financial saving in energy costs which would be redirected to support and improve the outcomes of the local community through increased activities and improvements to the Centre.

• it provided the Centre with heating and lighting, for an extended period of time, in the event of power loss. This now allows the Centre to become the Cullen area Resilience Centre, as specified in the Cullen Community Emergency Plan.
