Funding Awarded to 19 Community-Led Projects Across Moray

A total of £241,172 has been awarded through the Moray Local Action Fund 2026-27, supporting 19 projects that reflect the breadth and strength of Moray's communities. From mental health and wellbeing to climate action, community facilities, inclusion, volunteering and tackling poverty, the successful projects demonstrate how local organisations continue to respond to community needs in practical and innovative ways.

One clear theme running through this year's awards is connection and continuity. Several projects focus on sustaining trusted community services and assets, including support for Elgin Town Hall for the Community, Forres Area Community Trust, Spey Bay Hall and The Lossiemouth Community Hub, helping ensure local people continue to have access to welcoming community spaces and support close to home.

There is also a strong emphasis on wellbeing and inclusion, with funding supporting neurodivergent young adults, people with ADHD, individuals experiencing mental health challenges, adults in recovery, people with additional support needs and disabilities, and Moray's migrant and refugee communities.

Environmental sustainability also features prominently, with projects ranging from woodland learning and community growing initiatives to energy efficiency improvements and greener transport solutions.

Together, the funded projects showcase community-led action at its best.
